The Privacy provisions of the e-gold Account User Agreement presently constitute the entire e-gold Ltd. Privacy Policy:
"Issuer" means e-gold Ltd., a Nevis Corporation.
Unless (1) otherwise approved by User or (2) ordered by a court or arbitration body of acceptable jurisdiction, as determined by Issuer or (3) necessary, as determined by Issuer, to investigate suspected illegal activity or violations of the e-gold Account User Agreement to protect Issuer or Users, Issuer shall not reveal User's contact or identifying information or transaction history to any third party.
Issuer will not store Passphrase in plaintext. No employee of Issuer will ever ask for User’s Passphrase.
e-gold Ltd. has drawn from the Value Limits and Right of Association provisions of the e-gold Account User Agreement to form its Anti-Spam policy.
You can help to stop spam
Before reviewing these anti-spam policies and procedures, please be aware that you can take these steps to help us reduce spam:
- First and foremost - Do not spam!
- Do not respond to spam.
- If you receive spam, delete it unread.
e-gold Ltd. will not tolerate any reference to e-gold in unsolicited commercial e-mail or Usenet posts (spam).
If any e-gold User references e-gold in spam, e-gold Ltd. will set the value limit on the offending User's e-gold account(s) to zero in accordance with the Right of Association provisions of the e-gold Account User Agreement.
Reporting spammers
Our penalty for spamming is severe; therefore, we request that you follow these directions when filing a complaint:
- If spam was received via e-mail, include a full unedited copy of the offending e-mail, including complete e-mail header.
- If the offending message was a Usenet post, include a full unedited copy of the offending post, including date posted, and the name of the spammed newsgroup.
- Please do not send your complaint from an anonymous e-mail service or via an anonymous remailer.
- We require that you grant us the following permission (please copy and paste into the text of your complaint):
I give e-gold Ltd. permission to provide the complete text of this complaint, including all e-mail headers, to the accused spammer.
